You will be joining an experienced team working on our Wellbeing and Prevention Service (My Neighbourhood) and building on the development of the Community Support Organisation service (established over the last 20 months as a response to the Pandemic in Ryedale).
The service supports individuals and local communities across Ryedale as they look to identify and build place-based activities and opportunities to encourage and empower social engagement, reduce loneliness and isolation, and help residents to stay well and connected within their local communities.
The role of Community Engagement Adviser (CSO) is principally to:
· respond to requests through the helpline service,
· provide a supportive signposting service to help connect individuals to the most relevant services
· create connections and introductions to improve personal wellbeing
· help build individual and community resilience and confidence
You will need good communication skills and be experienced in completing individual assessments, project management and community development. As a needs-led service, you will be required to be proactive and innovative in your approach to supporting clients as well as comfortable in developing and leading small group activities and sessions.
Flexibility is a requirement of the role. Own transport essential.
