Who We Are

Originally a service provider within the Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale area, we changed our name to Carers Plus Yorkshire in July 2021. This change happened as we extended our support to Hambleton and Richmondshire and further extended our support into the East Riding. Now with a wider footprint, we are delighted to be supporting more communities and individuals across a significant geographical area.

With this positive extension to our coverage, we are immensely proud to have built a team of exceptionally skilled advisers who are knowledgeable and committed to placing clients at the heart of their work. We are proud to have a reputation for listening and acting upon the voices and needs we know to be real, ensuring we remain flexible and focused on offering the right support, at the right time and place for those we serve.

The future is bright for Carers Plus Yorkshire, and we invite you to be part of it. Whether you’re a carer, partner, or supporter, let’s work together to build stronger, healthier communities where everyone has the respect, resources, and resilience to thrive.

Our Purpose

Carers Plus Yorkshire is more than just a support provider; we’re a movement for change. Our focus for the next five years includes:

Top-quality support - Independent, expert advice that enhances health, wellbeing, and resilience.

Amplifying voices - Representing our communities to influence decision-makers and shape better services.

Reaching the hidden - Ensuring those who need us most know where to find us – at the right time, right place.

Stronger together - Partnering with organisations to maximise resources and create greater impact
