Job Title: Finance Assistant

Salary: 22.5 hours per week - £28,000 (pro-rata)

Hours: Part-time 22.5 hours per week

Base: Snainton Office (with optional hybrid working expectation for role of a minimum of 2 days in office per week following induction)

Carers Plus Yorkshire is a well-established charity of over 30 years, providing information, advice and support to unpaid family Carers and the wider community across multiple districts of North Yorkshire including Scarborough, Whitby, Ryedale, Hambleton and Richmondshire.

We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Finance Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team at Carers Plus Yorkshire. The successful applicant must have excellent financial and budgeting skills. They will have a relevant qualification or be qualified by experience. They will support the Finance Manager in the day to-day financial work of the organisation, including data entry, monitoring and reporting on multiple budget streams, bank reconciliations, assisting with payroll and VAT returns. Knowledge and experience of Sage 50 or other accounting software is essential. The successful candidate will also provide occasional administrative support during quieter periods to help with organisational priorities. A positive approach, a can-do attitude are all essential.

You will be an experienced IT user with strong accuracy and attention to detail, a proactive approach and a clear understanding of confidentiality and GDPR. As part of a small, dedicated team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth, professional and compassionate delivery of services to local carers.
