Young People’s Service
The Young People’s Service supports young people with caring responsibilities by building confidence and resilience, using a whole-family approach that includes families and siblings. Through assessment, dedicated one-to-one support and opportunities to connect with others, young carers are supported to balance their caring role with education, wellbeing and social opportunities.
Who is the service for?
Have a significant caring role, including looking after a relative with a disability, illness, mental health condition, or drug or alcohol problem.
Are experiencing an impact of care such as; excessive or inappropriate caring that affects, emotional health, physical health, educational achievement, social life and opportunities.
Provide practical tasks, emotional support, physical & personal care or childcare for siblings.
