Through partnerships with local businesses across our service area, we offer access to a range of pledges and concessions designed to reduce barriers such as cost, accessibility and awareness, helping people make the most of the opportunities available in their local community. Carers Plus Yorkshire takes great pride in supporting our clients. We know life can often be filled with ups and downs. Whilst we aim to help bring balance back into the lives of those we support, we also want to help our clients build on the positives that are right here in our community.

Your Guide to Restology!

  • Restology aims to provide opportunities for a pause or change in the everyday routines for Carers Plus Yorksire clients. We link with businesses to help gain additional information or concessions to aid our clients access something different and positive. Time out could be for an hour, two or more as well as a change of scene, which can recharge the batteries or refresh the mind by trying something new! Restology covers our whole service area, including, Scarborough, Whitby, Ryedale, Hambleton, Richmondshire and Bridlington.

  • All clients who gain Carers Plus Yorksire support, are entitled to our free Restology card. They are valid for a year and it enables you to access our Restology pledges. These can change regularly so please do visit our webpage and keep an eye on our social media.

  • We have a wall of support pledges from amazing businesses across our area.  You can click on the business, to see what current offers are available. Businesses will decide if their pledges are open to all our clients or limited to unpaid carers. Please be aware, we may be unable to openly promote the details of some concessions but if you would like to know more feel free to contact us.

  • By working with local businesses to reduce some of the barriers our clients may have - be this accessibility, awareness or cost - we hope to also strengthen our local economy by enabling those we support, access amazing opportunities right on our doorstep! We are also very passionate about the support we provide and our client’s needs and by helping our community understand some of those needs, we hope it will have lasting positive effect too!

  • Saint Catherine’s Hospice in Scarborough provide a huge range of services to our community, including Flavours, an onsite Bistro which is open to all.

    The Hospice is pleased to become part of our Restology project and Flavours Bistro is offering all Restology Card holders a Carers’ Breakfast Club concession of a fab 10% discount on the entire breakfast menu before 11am each day. The bistro opens weekdays from 9am to 4pm.

  • Beach Hut Creations & Tearoom work closely with Carers Plus Yorkshire and would like to extend their offer of support. The tearoom is situated on St Thomas Street, opposite Matalan in Scarborough and has a very tasty range of homemade meals, as well as cakes and cup cakes.

    They are offering a fabulous concession of 10% off the tearoom menu to all card holders. This is in addition to the existing 10% discount for veterans.

  • Pizza Pals Community Pizzeria are offering a real positive difference to people’s lives locally. They operate once a month from the Coliseum in Whitby running alongside the cinema and offer a welcoming space for everyone to share delicious food and conversations.

    Their home made pizza menu is very popular with prices starting from just £5! They are offering Restology Card holders an additional 10% food concession!

  • Louise Rothwell from Whitby is a Solution focused therapist, Life coach and practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming, Integral Eye Movement Therapy & BWRT. Louise is very aware of the difficulties that life can present.

    As well as 1:1 support Louise offers a subscription service to a large range of audios, PDFs and worksheets, covering a wide range of topics from anxiety to low mood, to grief to challenging uncomfortable situations to help on a journey of change.

    Louise would like to offer Carers Plus Yorkshire clients a Restology offer of a free months access to the subscription library - saving £14.99.   • Everyone Active already offer a brilliant complimentary membership to people living with Parkinson’s as well as their carer, when attending in a carers capacity.

    And through our partnership Everyone Active & Carers Plus Yorkshire are now able to support our carers to apply for a special 3 months free membership – a time to focus on their own health and wellbeing.

    Memberships give access to the gym, group exercise classes and swimming. To apply for a one-off carers membership please link to your CPY 1:1 allocated worker.

  • Flow For All Yoga is run by Faith, who has recently opened a new yoga studio in Malton. Her mission is to create a calm, safe space for people of all ages and abilities to show up, breathe and move their bodies - as little or as much as needed.

    Faith at Flow For All Yoga is working with Carers Plus Yorkshire to provide a FREE initial adult yoga taster session!

    Furthermore, for anyone who enjoyed their free induction session, Faith is also offering a 'Concessionary Class Pass' of 5 adult yoga sessions for £20!

  • If you like the idea of a fitness class that feels more like a night out than a workout then Clubbercise® may be for you!

    Sarah, the owner of Empower Fitness & Dance has lived experience of unpaid caring and wanted to give something back to Carers Plus Yorkshire and all the clients we support.

    Sarah is offering a booking price of £3 a session for your first 4 sessions (saving £10) and this offer is available for any of our Carers Plus Yorkshire clients aged 14+

  • Ang at Roots to Healing in Pickering, would like to offer a 20% concession to all our Carers Plus Yorkshire clients who book a Reiki treatment or guided meditation.

    Emma offers all aspects of unisex hairdressing within the Filey Fields Salon – you don’t need to be a resident to attend the salon and enjoy some time for yourself.

  • Kirkham Henry Dance School provides a great range of community classes specifically for the older generation; all of which help to build on positive wellbeing and friendships.

    Angela at Kirkham Henry Performing Arts CIC is working in collaboration with Carers Plus Yorkshire to provide a '3 for free' offer to try some of the classes running in Malton.

    The offer gives the opportunity for you to try the sessions, with no commitment to pay for the first three!

  • Hazel from The Beauty Lounge is keen to support local unpaid carers as well as the wider clients Carers Plus Yorkshire supports. As an unpaid carer herself, Hazel is aware how a caring role can affect our mental and physical wellbeing and just how important it is to look after ourselves. Hazel is based at the rest relax & restore clinic in Kirkbymoorside.

  • Fiona at Ryedale Foot Health is offering Carers Plus Yorkshire clients in Ryedale a brilliant £5 off an initial foot care home visit appointment.

    Fiona is very aware that looking after our feet is not always easy, reduced mobility and movement, neurological and musculoskeletal conditions can make it difficult to perform self care.

  • Maxine from Feet For All offers a mobile feet care service across across North and East Yorkshire. And she would like to support all Carers Plus clients, by offering a £5 concession, when mentioning Restology at the time of booking.

    Maxine is supporting people with a great range of foot problems as well as routine foot care appointments. With commitment to helping clients achieve their health and wellness goals associated with their feet.

  • Scarborough Yoga Space have a dedicated yoga and wellbeing studio. They offer a wide range of classes with everything from slow and restful to dynamic and energizing. They would like to offer our clients a concession of 50% discount on their weekly gentle yoga class which runs on Monday mornings.

  • Scarborough TEC provides a hairdressing and beauty therapy salon as part of their students learning to become a successful hair stylist or beauty therapist. Image the salon aims to provide you with the kind of relaxing and enjoyable experience you would expect from any high street salon.

    They would like to offer all of our clients 50% off their salon prices. Their pricing structure already reflects the nature of their training salons but please rest assured the trainee therapists and stylists will offer you the very best service. Leisure & Entertainment

  • Helmsley Walled Garden is a beautiful historic walled garden, with glasshouses, apple orchards and many varieties of flowers. The gardens aim to enhance the physical and emotional health and wellbeing of those visiting. Its also dog friendly with on-site café, shop and plant centre. The garden offers free admission for any carer accompanying an adult who has purchased a visitor's day ticket. Visitors who posses an annual pass are also able to have a carer accompany them free of charge.

  • Spotlight Theatre is Bridlington's little venue which stages amateur and professional shows as well as live screenings!

    Spotlight Theatre run a screening once a month which is totally free to attend; with a reminiscent film shown on the first Monday of every month.

    There will be a break halfway through the film for tea and biscuits. The theatre has wheelchair access and disabled access toilets.

  • As you may know we are very lucky to have one of the popular heritage railways right on our doorstep and NYMR have a great range of exclusivities to help clients have an enjoyable day on the railway.

    NYMR and CPY are working together to enable our clients to be able to travel the railway at a special concession rate for a grand day out.

  • !n the heart of Scarborough's South Bay, the Central Tramway Company cliff railway is conveniently located between the St Nicholas Gardens and the Grand Hotel. The service runs between the Foreshore Road and St Nicholas Street, ideal for visiting all the amenities of the beach front and for quickly getting into town.

    Single travellers with a Restology Card, can travel on the tram for a return journey for the price of £1.30 - (50% discount!)

    Families travelling who hold a Restology Card, would be able to travel on the tram for a return journey price of £1.30 per person, with one family carer and any children aged 5 or under travelling for free (over 50% discount)

  • This Restology pledge is run in partnership with North East Wales Carers Information Service for unpaid adult carers. Our free Pen Pals programme is here to help you make new friends and share your experiences with other carers who can relate through the art of writing. If you’re caring for someone, we welcome you to join our community of Pen Pals!

  • Whitby Museum at Pannett Park revealing the life of our amazing historic coastal town from the Jurassic era to the present day, with unusual and quirky collections.

    The museum enables carers to have completely free entry to the museum when supporting another to attend.

  • Possibly Scarborough’s best kept secret! The Street is home to a 14 metre professionally set climbing wall, a rock replica wall and a small bouldering cave. Coast & Vale Community Action (CaVCA) run 1-2-1 taster sessions for adults as well as open sessions for any age, who would like to have a go or increase on their climbing skills.

    CaVCA at The Street would like to offer CPY Restology card holders a concessionary price of £8 saving £4.50 on the full price. As well as offering a family taster (up to 2 adults & up to 4 children) for £40 saving £25 on the usual price.

  • As you may know Forest Live 2025 is taking place in some of the nations forests across our country. Forest England are supporting customers who have a health condition or disability to purchase a live music ticket (at standard price, plus booking fees) but you can also apply to receive a free personal assistant ticket for a carer/ assistant to attend too.

  • The National Centre for Birds of Prey is a visitor attraction situated within the beautiful Duncombe Park estate.

    The Centre are offering a free carers admission when attending as a supporter for a disabled visitor!

  • Stephen Joseph Theatre is an independent theatre and cinema, who are passionate in helping Unpaid Carers and their families access the arts.

    Stephen Joseph Theatre are working in collaboration with Carers Plus Yorkshire to provide a series of £1 tickets for selected performances (2 per family). They are also offering FREE attendance to Unpaid Carers who attend their monthly dementia-friendly viewing with the person they support.

    Vouchers are to be obtained from Carers Plus Yorkshire, which will then enable you to book one of the in-house performances of your choice, either over the phone or at the SJT ticket office.

  • The UK Cinema Association (UKCA) and its members wants everyone to be able to enjoy going to the cinema. The CEA annual card scheme is one way to enable those with disabilities, to be accompanied by someone else for free when they buy a ticket. This could be a parent, family member, friend or someone else.

    The CEA card is accepted within a wide range of our local cinemas as well as national chains.
