Job Vacancy - Carer Engagement Adviser (Young Carers) Northallerton

New funding allows us to be seeking a Carers Engagement Adviser to work with Young Carers (8-18) in Hambleton and Richmondshire areas

We are seeking a:

Carer Engagement Adviser (Young Carers)

To support young carers aged 8-18 years old

22.5 hours per week (fixed term until March 2024)

Salary pro rata of £23,928 FTE

You would be joining a small team of highly skilled professionals, providing a range of support, including emotional and social support, advice, and carer training, to young carers in the area. The roles are varied and people-focused and will see you working with young people directly, and in partnership with families, schools, colleges and other health and social care professionals in the area. Must be dynamic and proactive in their approach to supporting young people and prepared to work across all corners of the districts.

The capacity to work in partnership with statutory and voluntary sector partners, and be an exceptional communicator, is essential in both roles. 

Your base of work will be at the Northallerton office, but Advisers are required to work out and about in the local community. You will need to be flexible as you might need to work the occasional evening and weekend if required.

Own transport essential.
