Young Carer Service

The Young Carers Service supports Young Carers with their caring role and helps to build on their confidence and resilience to enable them to realise their own potential. Our support also reaches to the families and siblings of Young Carers, with a whole family approach being important to us.

We aim to better identify, and provide support for, Young Carers and their families to develop emotionally and physically; as well as being able to take full advantage of opportunities for educational achievement alongside their caring role.

What do people say about our service?

What do people say about our service?

'The work undertaken by the Young Carers Team at Carers Plus is integral to supporting our families in School. The referral process is straight forward, and they really do offer a whole family approach to their support for our pupils identified as Young Carers. Since working with the service, we have been able to collaborate support plans to make sure our pupils are being empowered and more resilient to cope with their caring role out of school. We really do roll out the red carpet for the team when they visit school as the work they are doing is so wonderful!'
