Volunteers

We are very aware that many Charities and organisations survive and thrive, through the efforts and time given by volunteers.  At Carers Plus Yorkshire we have a small team of dedicated volunteers, many of whom have experienced our services first hand, or have work histories relating to health, wellbeing and/or social care. To all of you who volunteer ‘thank you’!

However, as the Charity moves forward, and we continue to establish our work across a wide geographical area, the need to find additional volunteers has never been so important. We hope that our volunteering opportunities provide a platform for people with various life experiences to get involved, and we are committed to making volunteering a two-way arrangement - giving as much as we can (in terms of training, friendship, laughter and meaningful connections) in return for your time and energy.

Who can volunteer?

Who can volunteer?

Volunteering is for anyone who has a passion and desire to support something that interests them and helps others.  All our volunteers love giving their time for the opportunities they undertake; the vast majority engage to support or be with others. They welcome the chance to make someone else’s day or actions a little easier, a little less lonely and a little more full of laughter and confidence!

"I would just like to add that my feeling comfortable and confident to volunteer is hugely down to your support and guidance - I really do appreciate your emails/ communication and always feel encouraged by your helpful feedback".
