Carers Plus Yorkshire Launches New Business Carers Charter
Carers Plus Yorkshire (CPY) is proud to announce the launch of its brand-new Business Carers Charter, designed to help local employers recognise and support the unpaid carers within their workforce.
Across the UK, 1 in 7 employees balances their job alongside unpaid caring responsibilities - often for a family member or friend who is ill, disabled, or elderly. This hidden workforce plays a vital role in society, yet the impact of caring can be significant: higher stress levels, absenteeism, and lost productivity are common challenges for both employees and businesses alike.
The new CPY Business Carers Charter aims to change that. It encourages employers of all sizes to take simple, flexible steps that make a meaningful difference to carers in their workplace.
