Celebrating a Chapter of Community Impact at The One Twenty

After two remarkable years of community work based at The One Twenty in Eastfield, Carers Plus Yorkshire (CPY) is announcing the conclusion of its role within this much-loved project.  While this news marks the end of a chapter, it also offers a moment to pause, reflect and celebrate the extraordinary impact this work has had.

Since stepping into The One Twenty, CPY has had the privilege of walking alongside the Eastfield community: listening, responding, connecting.  From easing isolation during the aftermath of the pandemic, to helping residents navigate the growing pressures of the cost-of-living crisis, our community support work has grown into something meaningful, heartfelt and lasting.  The relationships forged, the stories shared and the progress made have surpassed all expectations.  We are incredibly proud of what’s been achieved, together.  This initiative has shown what’s possible when people come together around hope, resilience and local strength.

As CPY looks ahead to the future we are returning our focus to our core mission: supporting unpaid carers and families across North Yorkshire. Continuing our role in The One Twenty is no longer  sustainable, but the spirit of what’s been built here will live on in our work and we remain deeply grateful to everyone who made this journey so special.

This is not goodbye from CPY, it’s simply the next step in a long-standing commitment to care, compassion and community.

A 'Celebrate the Journey' event will be hosted at The One Twenty on Thursday 17th July. Save the date... more details and invites coming soon!

With heartfelt thanks,
The Carers Plus Yorkshire Team
